kulturellen, historischen sowie sozialen Dimensionen widmet. Namensgeberin des Betty Centers ist Betty Baaron Samoa, einer T\u00e4nzerin zur Zeit der Tanzmoderne. Ihr Name und ihre Herkunft bleiben weitgehend unbekannt, und ihre Rolle in der Tanzgeschichte wird als Leerstelle betrachtet. Das Betty Center nimmt diesen Schatten im Kanon zum Anlass, mit Betty als Schutzpatronin eine dezentrale Bewegungsforschung von der Peripherie her zu
